Father Christmas sails down the Tiber in a Canoe

Every year, on the 25 December, in Città di Castello, a town in Umbria, near La Preghiera, a large group of people wait for a special events! What is it?
Towards evening, a group of canoeists, each dressed as Father Christmas, with their canoes illuminated by lights, make their way along the river to the bridge at Porta San Florido where a crib is suspended over the water.
When they get out of their canoes, the Father Christmases give small presents to the children gathered there… An event not to be missed!
