The legendary FESTA DEI CERI takes place in Gubbio on May 15 of each year. Tradition has it that it is a party in honor of St. Ubaldo, bishop and patron saint of Gubbio, who died in 1160, and would be the result of the transformation of an original offer of wax that medieval egubine guilds donated to the patron. For other scholars, however, this festival may originate from pre-Christian pagan festivals, perhaps at a party in honor of the goddess Ash, linked to the awakening of spring …

Your own pagan, or Christian, festival could be celebrated in La Preghiera, thewre is room for about three dozen friends and family.
